Sweden prove too strong for Under-17 side

Sweden defeated Malta 5-1 in a match from Group 3 of the UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying round at the Eerikkilä-Areena in Tammela, Finland on Thursday.

Henrik Bellman put Sweden ahead on 11 minutes with Teddy Bergqvist increasing the lead with three goals on the 15th, 25th and 35th. Bergqvist added another on the 62nd minute with Omar Elouni reducing the gap on 69 minutes.

Malta will be facing Ireland on Saturday at the Harju Sport Center in Lohja.
