Family and Football Nursery Stand concept launched

The Malta Football Association announced that as from this weekend, during BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium, the Millennium F Stand will be converted into the ‘Family & Football Nursery Stand’.

During a meeting of the Council which was held on Friday, MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo said this was one of the initiatives as part of a Fan Engagment campaign which will be launched soon.

This initiative is being take some following the successful Reach Out campaign during the UEFA Under-17 Championships which was held in Malta in May 2014. This was also confirmed during a survey commissioned by UEFA in collaboration with the MFA about the situation of the game in Malta.

The MFA aims at encouraging and attracting more people to the local game and nurture a culture where spectators not only attend the stadium to support a particular team but also to enjoy themselves with others.

More facilities will be added to the stand in order to appeal for all members of the family.

The Millennium F Stand will therefore be open for families and children from nurseries.

Prices for the Millennium F Stand will be reduced by 50%. Therefore adults will be paying €3.50 and children under the age of twelve €0.50. Senior citizens will pay €2 as long as they are accompanied by children. Other adults, not accompanied by children, willing to stay in this neutral stand will pay normal price.

Nurseries bringing a group of 20 children and an administrator will enter for free in the same stand. There will also be a section reserved for those on wheelchair. Request for tickets for these categories would need to send an email to the MFA Match Operations Department on matchoperations@mfa.com.mt.
