Hibernians take on Pembroke as they hope to extend positive run

Leaders Hibernians target a fifth consecutive win on Saturday as they take on Pembroke Athleta in one of two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Hibernians Stadium.

With a narrow win over Valletta on Wednesday, the Paolites extended their unbeaten run to five matches and now lie two points ahead of second-placed Balzan. They dropped their only points in a draw with Balzan.

Pembroke, on the other hand, lost their last three games against Sliema, Birkirkara and Balzan after winning their first two matches.

Hibs welcome back Denni after serving a two-match ban.

Meanwhile in the first match, Tarxien Rainbows face Floriana. The Greens are currently fourth on nine points, together with rivals Valletta, one ahead of Tarxien and Birkirkara.

After losing to Mosta and Hibernians in their first two matches, Floriana bounced back with wins over Qormi, Naxxar and St. Andrews although they won the last two games by just a one-goal difference. Tarxien, on the other hand, lost just one game to leaders Hibernians, holding Birkirkara and Balzan in draws and defeating Sliema and Naxxar.
