Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after the weekend’s matches.

Valerio Senatore (Balzan), Edin Murga (Mosta), Angus Buhagiar (Naxxar), Pedro Henrique dos Santos Calcado (Sliema), Carlos Hevia Menendez and Alex da Paixao Alves (Tarxien) are therefore ruled out of the next league games scheduled for October 17 and 18.

Senatore is ruled out of the game against St. Andrews, Murga and Buhagiar the derby between Mosta and Naxxar, Pedrinho the clash with Birkirkara while Carlinos and Lecão will miss Tarxien’s next game against Pembroke.

In Division 1, Christopher Grech (Gudja) was banned for two matches while Michael Borg was suspended for one match.

Mario Zammit (Msida) was handed a two-match ban in Division 2 while Matthew Fleri Soler (Gharghur) was suspended for one match.

Ta’ Xbiex coach Marc Psaila Soler was suspended for two matches while Marvic Grech (Ghaxaq), Chris Abdilla (Marsaxlokk), Glenn Micallef (Sta. Venera) and Gianluca Calabretta (Ta’ Xbiex) were all banned for one match.
