Johann Scicluna has officially been appointed as coach of Qormi FC. This was announced by president Jesmond Aquilina during a press conference at the club’s premises on Friday.

A former player of Qormi FC, Scicluna has served assistant coach at Sliema Wanderers and Msida St. Joseph and coached Luqa St. Andrew’s and Qrendi but spent most of his coaching career as coach of the Birkirkara women’s team, leading them to winning all major honours.

Himself hailing from Qormi, Scicluna intends to give more opportunities to club products.

Following the departure of Jesmond Zerafa last week, Johann Scicluna led the team in the narrow 1-2 defeat to Hibernians last weekend.

The other members of the technical staff are Franco Scicluna, Karl Farrugia and Matthew Psaila.
