Valletta aim at returning to winning ways

After being held in a 2-2 draw by Mosta, leaders Valletta will be aiming at returning to winning ways as they take on Pembroke Athleta in one of the four matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and Hibernians Stadium on Friday.

Mosta face Tarxien Rainbows, Hibernians meet St. Andrews while Naxxar Lions take on Qormi.

Tarxien Rainbows vs Mosta, kick-off 18:00 at Hibernians Stadium
After going close to beating Valletta on Tuesday, Mosta will be targeting victory as they take on a Tarxien Rainbows side coming from three consecutive wins over Pembroke, St. Andrews and Qormi. The Rainbows are currently sixth on 18 points, one ahead of Mosta.

Ian Zammit is ruled out through suspension for Mosta.

Hibernians vs St. Andrews, kick-off 20:15 at Hibernians Stadium
After winning just one of the last five matches, Hibernians will be all out to claim the three points from the clash with St. Andrews who are still chasing their first points after losing the ten matches played so far. The Paolites earned just two points from two draws with Birkirkara and Sliema in their last two games. St. Andrews, on the other hand, lost 1-2 to Naxxar.

Valletta vs Pembroke Athleta, kick-off 18:00 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Valletta hope to extend the lead on top the BOV Premier League table with a win over Pembroke Athleta who suffered three defeats in the last three matches but were unlucky to leave the pitch empty-handed in their last game against Floriana.

Patmore Shereni returns for Pembroke after serving a one-match ban but Zoran Levnajic is suspended. Federico Falcone is suspended for Valletta while Jonathan Caruana, Roderick Briffa and Jhonnattann are ruled out injured.

Naxxar Lions vs Qormi, kick-off 20:15 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Naxxar Lions and Qormi chase precious points from a direct clash between the teams lying in tenth and eleventh place. Qormi suffered five consecutive defeats while Naxxar won two of the last three matches.

Richard Cardozo and Mandinho are suspended for Naxxar while Qormi are expected to be in full strength.
