Ghedin names final squad for Jordan friendly

National coach Pietro Ghedin named the final squad for the friendly match against Jordan which will be played at the Maltepe Stadium in Istanbul on Wednesday 11th November, kick-off at 13:00 CET.

Valletta defender Ryan Camilleri and Birkirkara’s Zach Muscat and Rowen Muscat who were originally in the provisional squad were dropped while Pembroke Athleta’s Owen Bugeja was included in the final squad.

Floriana defender Emanuel Briffa, Valletta midfielder Llywelyn Cremona and Tarxien striker Luke Montebello will be making the trip to Turkey.

This friendly match should be the first of a series of friendly matches before next year’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers which kick-off in September 2016. Malta is expected to play another four friendly matches in 2016 – one in March, two in May and another one in August, possible all away from home.
