Three Premier League players suspended

Three Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Tarxien Rainbows defender Ebiabowei Baker was banned for two matches while Naxxar’s Moise Zady Gnenegbe and Angus Buhagiar were suspended for one match.

Baker will miss the games against Birkirkara and Balzan while Buhagiar and Gnenegbe are ruled out of Naxxar’s next game against Balzan.

Pembroke kit-manager Godwin Gatt was banned for one match.

In Division 1, Moises Avila Perez (Gzira), David Azzopardi (Mqabba) and Udo Nwoko (St. George’s) were suspended for one match while Mqabba kit-manager Jeremy Mercieca was also suspended for one match.

In Division 2, Zejtun’s Mauro Brincat was handed a four-match ban. Glenn Brincat (Kirkop)and Glendon Refalo (Swieqi) were suspended for one match.

Joshua Sciarrino (Dingli), Steve Buhagiar (Marsaskala), Omar Smeir (Mtarfa) and Keith Anthony Borg (Ta’ Xbiex) were all banned for one match in Division 3 while Mtarfa official Charles Sammut was suspended for two matches.
