Four Premier League players suspended

Mosta goalkeeper Omar Borg was banned for two matches while Naxxar’s Blazo Rajovic, Tarxien’s Carlos Hevia Menendez and Mosta’s Edin Murga were all suspended for one match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

The Mosta goalkeeper was reported for comments at the end of the Premier League clash with Mosta while Rajovic, Hevia and Murga received a fourth yellow card.

Omar Borg and Edin Murga are ruled out of the clash with Sliema Wanderers with Borg also missing the game against Birkirkara, Hevia will miss the derby against Hibernians while Rajovic is ruled out of the game against Floriana.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Joseph Farrugia (Fgura), George Chircop (Gudja), Daniel Scerri (Gzira), Patrick Borg (Lija), Neil Falzon and Hubert Vella (St. George’s) were all banned for one match.

In Division 2, Ranier Buhagiar (Qrendi) and Carl Magro (Zabbar) were both banned for one match while Christian Schembri (Dingli), Giulio Sammut and Kurt Formosa (Mdina) and Christian Wismayer (Ta’ Xbiex) were handed a one-match ban in Division 3. Marsaxlokk official Lawrence Camilleri was also banned for one match.
