Gudja United suffered a fifth consecutive defeat and the ninth in ten matches as they lost 0-4 to Lija Athletic in a match from the BOV First Division at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Jorge Garcia Vidal put Lija ahead on the 38th, Beppe Antignolo doubled the score on 64 minutes and seven minutes later, Predrag Babic scored the third goal. Abdullahi Ige Adeshina scored the final goal two minutes in added time.

Gzira lead the way with 27 points, followed by Hamrun on 26, Pietà 23, Lija 21, Senglea 19, Vittoriosa 18, Zebbug 17, Rabat 16, Fgura and Melita 12, St. George’s 10, Mqabba 9, San Gwann 6 and Gudja 4.
