Birkirkara reached an agreement with Brazilian striker Ellinton Antonio Costa Morais for the termination of his contract following a request by the player.

After playing for Westerlo in Belgium, Ethnikos Achna in Cyprus and Hapoel Ra’anana in Israel, Liliu joined the Stripes in summer 2014 and had an excellent first season with the club as he scored thirteen goals. This season, he scored four in thirteen matches.

Liliu is the third foreign player to be released by the Stripes after Spanish midfielder Juan Quero Barraso and Nigerian striker Shola Shodiya. Zach Muscat joined Akragas in Italy and Paul Fenech moved to Balzan.
