Mdina Knights and Dingli Swallows maintained their challenge for promotion as both registered wins in the two BOV Third Division in programme on Monday at the Centenary Stadium.

Mdina defeated St. Venera Lightnings 3-0 thanks to a goal by Velibor Milicic on the 35th and a brace by Dylan Mintoff on the 70th and 76th.

Dingli, on the other hand, beat Ta’ Xbiex 2-1. Matthew Fenech put Ta’ Xbiex ahead on the 33rd but a penalty by Karl Cilia levelled matters three minutes in the second half and Kayne Said notched the winner fifteen minutes from time.

Marsaxlokk lead the way with 32 points, followed by Mdina on 31, Marsaskala on 30, Dingli and Santa Lucia 29, Attard 28, Ghaxaq 26, Luqa 16, St Venera and Xghajra 15, Kalkara 10, Mtarfa 9 and Ta’ Xbiex 8.
