Ghedin, Vella name senior, Under-21 squads

National coach Pietro Ghedin and Under-21 national coach Silvio Vella named the senior and the Under-21 national squads for their commitments later this month.

The Malta A national team hosts Moldova in a friendly match on Thursday 24 at the National Stadium while the Under-21 side takes on Montenegro at the Hibernians Stadium on Wednesday 23 and then the Czech Republic on Tuesday 29 at the National Stadium in two UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers.

For the senior side this is the first of four friendly matches ahead of the European Qualifiers leading to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. On the other hand, the Under-21 side earned five points so far following a win over Latvia and two draws with Moldova and Montenegro in three games away from home.
