Three points separate the top three teams in the BOV Second Division as Gharghur were held in a 1-1 draw by Zurrieq and Sirens defeated Zejtun Corinthians 1-0 on Monday.

Giovanni Galea scored three minutes in added time as Sirens registered a dramatic win over Zejtun Corinthians at the Luxol Stadium.

At the Charles Abela Stadium, Gharghur were held in a draw by Zurrieq. Nicky Zammit put Gharghur ahead on the 18th but Karl Sacco levelled matters six minutes later.

In another match at the Charles Abela Stadium, Kirkop United earned a point in a 3-3 draw with Birzebbuga St. Peter’s. Kurt Coleiro put Kirkop ahead on the 5th minute but five minutes later, Birzebbuga equalised thanks to a Keith Muscat penalty. Ronnie Celeste scored twice on the 15th and 21st to put the Saints 3-1 ahead. However Kurt Coleiro reduced the gap on the 27th and just before the end of the first half, Matthew Caruana equalised.

Gharghur lead the way with 50 points, followed by Marsa on 48, Sirens 47, Zabbar 39, Siggiewi 35, Mgarr 33, Zejtun 31, Birzebbuga 30, Qrendi 28, Mellieha 26, Swieqi and Kirkop 19, Zurrieq 13 and Msida 5.
