Pembroke end Premier League commitments on a positive note

Pembroke Athleta came back from two goals down as they beat Mosta 5-3 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium to end the season on a positive note. Winston Muscat’s side leapfrogs Mosta into eighth place.

This win also boosts their morale ahead of next week’s FA Trophy semi-final against Balzan.

Three minutes from the end of the first half, Kyle O’Brien put Pembroke ahead for the first time.

On the hour, Manolito Micallef made it 4-2. Godwin Mensha reduced the gap when he converted a penalty on the 72nd but Gustavo de Paulo da Nobrega sealed the issue with a fifth goal five minutes from time.
