Freshly after being crowned the Malta Football Players Association Female Player of the Year, Birkirkara FC Captain Stephania Farrugia also won the award for BOV Player of the Month for April and May 2016.

Having also won this award for January and February 2016, she is also the first player to have won the award for 4 months in one season since the inception of this award in 2012.

The 24 year old defender led Birkirkara to the second spot in the BOV Women’s First Division league and proved her versatility by scoring 5 goals this season while playing as a defender.

Bernard Azzopardi, Manager for Bank of Valletta’s branch in Birkirkara presented the BOV Female Player of the Month trophy to Stephania.
