Tarxien Rainbows won the double in the Women’s Under-16 competitions after winning the Knock-Out on Sunday. In the final, they defeated Gozo 1-0 at the Gharghur Ground thanks to a goal by Kailey Willis on the 35th minute.

After the game, captain Chloe Ellul was presented with the cup by MFA Deputy General Secretary (Grassroots, Youth Development and Education) Maria Mifsud.

Tarxien won Section A of the Women’s Under-16 League after finishing one point ahead of runners-up Mgarr United. The Rainbows remained unbeaten throughout the whole campaign, dropping the only points in three draws.
