Three new foreigners for Balzan

Balzan strengthened their squad with the signing of three new foreign players – Brazilians Bruno Giglio de Oliveira and and Anderson Francisco de Barros and Macedonian striker Borče Manevski.

Thirty-year old defender Bruno Oliveira played for Tarxien Rainbows last season, leaving a good impression with the Rainbows. He spent almost all of his career in Brazil, turning out for a number of clubs including Gremio Catanduvense, Mogi Mirim, Lemense, Itapirense, Botafogo (Sao Paolo), Red Bull Brasil and Noroeste, before moving to Europe where he played for CD Feirense in Portugal and later for Chernomorets Burgas in Bulgaria. Bruno Oliveira returned to Brazil to play for Lajeadense and Treze before moving to Malta.

Thirty-year old midfielder Anderson Francisco de Barros, known as Dê, joins Balzan from Clube Recreativo Atlético Catalano. He has played his entire career in Brazil, earlier turning out for Porto Alegre, Caxias, Luverdense, Juventude, Nautico, Novo Hamburgo and Sampaio Correa.

Thirty-year old Macedonian international striker Borče Manevski started his career with FK Pelister in FYR Macedonia. In January 2006, he moved to Poland to play for Górnik Łęczna but in 2007 returned to FK Pobeda, moving to FK Milano Kumanovo a few months later. In January 2009, he signed for FK Banat Zrenjan in Serbia. He returned to FYR Macedonia to join FK Rabotnički in 2010 and after spending a season at Vardar, he returned to Rabotnički. In 2014, he was transferred to Chainat Hornbill in Thailand but after not receiving much playing time with the club, he was loaned to Trat FC.
