BOV Super Cup to be played in December

The Malta Football Association announced that the BOV Super Cup between champions Valletta and FA Trophy winners Sliema Wanderers will be played on Wednesday 21st December. This is because the National Stadium will be unavailable until the beginning of September due to the installation of a hybrid pitch – works on which are currently underway.

The BOV Premier League will kick-off on Friday 19th August. The last matches from the first phase are scheduled for February 12 with the third and final round kicking-off on February 25. The last league match is scheduled for Saturday May 6th.

The FA Trophy kicks-off in September with the Preliminary Round match/es with the first round matches scheduled for September 9/10/11. Second round matches will be played on October 21/22/23. Premier League clubs enter the third round which will be played on December 13 and 14. Fourth round matches are scheduled for January 17 and 18 and the quarter-finals for February 18 and 19. The semi-finals will be played on May 13 and 14 with the final scheduled for Saturday May 20.

The BOV First Division League will be played between Friday 9th September and Sunday 30th April, the BOV Second Division between Friday 16th September and Sunday 23rd April and the BOV Third Division between Sunday 18th September and Saturday 22nd April.

The Women’s Super Cup final is scheduled for Monday 12th September. The BOV Women’s Leagues kick-off on Tuesday 20th September and come to an end on Tuesday 25th April. The final of the Women’s Knock-Out is scheduled for Tuesday 9th May.

The Youth League kicks-off in August with the first matches in Sections A and B due to be played on August 17 and those of Sections C, D and E on August 29. The Youth Knock-Out final is scheduled for Wednesday 10th May.
