Jean Paul Farrugia re-joins Sliema Wanderers

jp-farrugiaJean Paul Farrugia re-joined Sliema Wanderers after a successful four-month spell on loan with the Blues, also winning the FA Trophy.

At the end of this loan spell, Farrugia turned out for Hibernians in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round against Spartak Trnava.

The twenty-four year old striker made his Premier League debut with Hibernians in season 2008/09 and has been playing for the Paolites since then apart from a one-year loan spell with Marsaxlokk in season 2011/12. Injuries ruled him out for most of seasons 2009/10 and 2010/11. However in summer 2014, he moved to Slovakia where he had a six-month spell with Spartak Trnava.

Farrugia played for all youth national teams and made his senior national team debut in June 2014 against Gibraltar.
