Mosta sign Manuel Bartolo, Kurt Magro

mosta-fcMosta secured the services of goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo and midfielder Kurt Magro from Valletta.

A product of San Gwann, Manuel Bartolo made his Premier League debut in season 2005/06 with Msida St. Joseph. He spent two years on loan – with Birkirkara in 2010/11 and Floriana in 2011/12. In summer 2012, he joined Valletta, signing a five-year deal. With the Citizens, he played quite regularly during the first season but mid-way through 2013/14, he was loaned to Balzan. On his return with the club, he made no appearance the following season until being loaned to Zebbug Rangers.

Last season, Manuel Bartolo made no appearance throughout the whole season but the 32-year old goalkeeper returned into action during the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg against Crvena Zvezda where he had a fine display in a 1-2 defeat.

Meanwhile this will be the third spell for Kurt Magro with Mosta.

A product of Valletta, Magro made his Premier League debut in season 2003/04. He played for one season on loan with Msida St. Joseph in 2008/09 and then with Tarxien Rainbows. Magro had three spells on loan with Mosta in season 2011/12, the latter part of season 2012/13 and season 2014/15 after a year with Balzan in 2013/14.

Last season, Kurt Magro, who is now thirty years old played for Qormi.
