Esther Azzopardi appointed for UEFA Women’s Champions League mini-tournament

Esther-AzzopardiThe Malta FA Refereeing Department announces that UEFA has appointed international referee Esther Azzopardi to officiate in the UEFA Women’s Champions League First Qualifying Round Group 6 mini-tournament to be played in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the 23rd to 28th August.

The teams taking part with hosts WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo will be Hapoel Nir Ramat Hasharon (Israel), Rigas Futbola skola (Latvia) and WFC Kharkiv (Ukraine).

Ms Azzopardi will be involved as Referee / Fourth Official in the following three matches:
– on the 23rd, WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo vs Hapoel Nir Ramat Hasharon at Otoka Stadium (referee)
– on the 25th, WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo vs Rigas Futbola skola at Otoka Stadium (fourth official)
– on the 28th, WFC Kharkiv vs WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo at Olimpijski Stadion Asim Ferhaatovic Hase (referee)

The other referees with Esther Azzopardi will be Marta Huerta de Aza (Spain) and Zuzana Valentova (Slovakia); while the other assistant referees will be Biljana Atanasovski (FYR of Macedonia), Guadalupe Porras Ayuso (Spain), and Miroslava Obertova (Slovakia).
