National squad to reach Estonia on Tuesday after flight cancellation

malta-in-austria-day-1-2006The Malta national team left Malta on Monday morning, destination Tallinn, for Wednesday’s international friendly match against Estonia but got stuck in Amsterdam after the Nordica/Adria flight from Amsterdam to Tallinn was cancelled.

Since no other flights were available on Monday, the association had to book a new flight from Amsterdam to Tallinn while staying in the Dutch capital overnight. The contingent is expected to arrive at around 13:20.

Foreign-based trio Andre Schembri, Zach Muscat and Luke Gambin all travelled on their own from Portugal, Italy and England respectively.

Malta plays Estonia at the Pärnu Rannastaadion in Pärnu on Wednesday, kick-off at 18:30.
