Malta vs Scotland: Ticket information and transport arrangements

European-QualifiersThe Malta Football Association issued information regarding tickets and transport arrangements with regards to Sunday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Malta and Scotland in programme at the National Stadium, kick-off at 20:45.

On Match-Day, the National Stadium will be in full accreditation mode from Sunday at 14:00 onwards. Therefore the stadium ring roads and the surroundings will not be accessible for normal vehicle traffic (only authorised vehicles will be allowed through the buffer areas).

The Stadium Gates and Ticket Booths will be open at 18:30.

Ticket Prices for this match are as follows:
West Stand @ €25
Millennium D & Millennium F @ €15
South Stand @ €10

Children under the age of 12 years will be allowed access to the South Stand Free of Charge when accompanied by an adult who is in possession of a valid ticket or a Goal Card for the South Stand. Each child will however still be required to be in possession of a ticket which can be obtained from any of the Points of Sales, including the stadium ticket booths.

Match Tickets are available from MFA Headquarters – Millennium Stand, Ta’ Qali; Eros Stationery – Paceville, KSU Office on campus; Lion King Stationers – Gwardamangia; Matrix – Republic Street Valletta, Main Street Paola or Skyparks MIA; Teamsport – Iklin, Star Tourist Services – Bugibba, GFA offices – Xewkija Gozo and online on www.mfa.com.mt

Tickets bought online are to be printed by the purchaser. Any issues related to ticketing are to be referred to tickets@mfa.com.mt by not later than 18.30 on match-day. Any emails received after this deadline will not be attended to.

Unless the particular stadium sector is sold out, ticket sales will also be available from the respective stadium ticket booths on match day from 18:30 onwards.

Stadium ticket booths on match day will operate as follows:
Ticket Booths at West A – Ticket Information Office;
Ticket Booths at West C will sell tickets for West C and the South Stands;
Ticket Booths at Millennium D will sell tickets for Millennium D and the South Stands;
Ticket Booths at Millennium F will sell tickets for Millennium F.

All sectors in the West Stand will be strictly on allocated seating, however, seating in all other areas of the stadium will be on a free seating first come first served basis.

GOAL CARD holders
Goal Card holders will be allowed access into the stadium upon presentation of their personal Goal Card. Holders of a West C Stand Goal Card will be allowed access to their reserved seat at West C while holders of both a Millennium D Stand Goal Card and/or a South Stand Goal Card will be allowed access to the respective Stadium Stand, where a free seating policy is adopted.

A strict no alcohol policy will be adopted at the stadium.

EXCHANGE OF TICKET VOUCHERS FOR SCOTTISH FANS
Scottish fans who bought their North Stand ticket directly from the Scottish F.A. can exchange their voucher with the actual ticket from the Ticket Booths which will be specifically opened at Side C of the Centenary Stadium which is situated adjacent to the National Stadium and which is right opposite the entrance to the North Stand at the National Stadium.

TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Malta Public Transport Limited for this match will be operating an additional Bus Service to and from the National Stadium both before and after the match. A Direct route will operate from Valletta to Ta’ Qali National Stadium from 17:15 to 19:45 with a frequency of 30 minutes.
At the end of the match, at around 22:30, 4 buses will be parked to operate 2 special routes under demand:
From Ta’ Qali to Bugibba Terminus via Mosta and St. Paul’s Bay
From Ta’ Qali to St. Julian’s – Sliema – Valletta
These 2 special routes will operate between 22:45 and 23:00.

The ticket fares will be as follows:
€3.00 on board ticket
€2.50 Tallinja card
Explore card will be included

Any buses, coaches and/or mini buses hired for organised group transportation will be allowed access to the stadium area via the Crafts Village, past the Aviation Museum and will park in the Car Park opposite the Adventure Park, which will also be the pick-up point at the end of the match. It is however to be noted that Parking Passes are to be applied for in advance by sending an e-mail to worldcup2018@mfa.com.mt
