Utulu appointed for FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifying tournament

Jude-UtuluThe Malta Football Association Refereeing Department is pleased to announce that after his designation for the Euro Beach Soccer League 2016 Promotion Final and Superfinal in Catania, international Referee Jude Amin Utulu will be travelling directly from Sicily to the northern Italian seaside resort town of Jesolo to participate in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 – Europe Qualifier to be held between the 2nd to the 11th September.

This resort in the province of Venice will again be the host for such a key competition, exactly as it did for the last European Qualifier for the last World Cup in 2015 in Portugal. Jesolo provides the perfect beach setting for the games and as they showed in the last qualifier; they also boast a great resort for tourists and fans alike to come out and pack the stadium. It also helps that Italy is always a favorite to win and after finishing in fourth place at the latest World Cup, locals will have their expectations even higher for this competitive tournament.

The path to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 Bahamas begins being revealed, with the confirmation of the biggest continental qualifier, in terms of participating teams, namely: Spain, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Hungary, Russia, Poland, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, England, Estonia, Belarus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Norway, Austria, Kazakhstan, Germany, Denmark, Georgia, Lithuania, Serbia.

The 10-day long event will send the last four teams to the World Cup.

Just before the tournament, a FIFA Course will be held during which match officials will have training sessions and the FIFA fitness tests under the organisation of a FIFA fitness Instructor.
