Women’s Under-17 side held by Romania in friendly match

MFAThe Malta Women’s Under-17 side shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Romania in a women’s Under-17 international friendly match at the Centenary Stadium on Tuesday. A match which formed part of the Maltese girls’ preparation ahead of the UEFA Under-17 Championship mini-tournament which will be played next month where Malta will be facing Sweden, Greece and Montenegro.

Maria Farrugia put Malta ahead on the 61st but Romania levelled matters through Maduana Boros on the 79th minute.

Another friendly match between the two teams is scheduled for Thursday morning.
