Heavy defeat for Under-17 side to Scotland

uefa-under-17The Malta Under-17 side lost 0-6 to Scotland in a match from Group 10 of the UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying round at the Febres Sports Complex in Febres, Portugal on Friday.

A penalty on the 18th minute by captain Jack Aitchison paved the way for Scotland with the same player doubling the score on the 25th. Glenn Middleton added another three minutes later. Robbie Deas made it 4-0 on the 37th and just before half-time, Zak Rudden scored a fifth goal. An own goal on the 73rd extended the lead further for Scotland.

Malta plays its second match on Sunday, facing hosts Portugal.
