National coach Pietro Ghedin and Under-21 coach Silvio Vella named the provisional squads for the two European Qualifiers against England and Lithuania and the Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Latvia and Moldova.

The senior national team will be in action on Saturday 8th October against England at Wembley Stadium and Lithuania on Tuesday 11th October at the LFF Stadionas in Vilnius. On the other hand, the Under-21 side hosts Latvia on Friday 7 and Moldova on Tuesday at the Hibernians Stadium.

Missing from the senior squad are Valletta midfielder Roderick Briffa and Barnet midfielder Luke Gambin. Jonathan Caruana of Valletta is unavailable for the game against England but will be able to play in the game against Lithuania. Included in the provisional squad are Jurgen Pisani and Steve Pisani of Floriana, Alex Muscat and Mark Scerri of Sliema and Lydon Micallef of Balzan.
