Artim Shaqiri appointed as new coach of Pembroke Athleta

pembroke-athletaPembroke Athleta have appointed Artim Shaqiri as their new coach along with goalkeepers coach Alessandro Catania and physical trainer Alessio Torino. The Macedonian coach will replace Winston Muscat who has been leading the team since summer 2015.

In a statement, the club said that the new technical staff will study and make changes to the structure of the senior team and introduce new players in order to revitalize the team’s fortunes.

The club has this year been struggling to find the form of last year and had an unfortunate string of negative results that have left the club at the bottom of the table.

The statement says that the President and committee are in full agreement that these changes should bring a much needed change and are confident that the club will make an impact in the coming months.

The club thanked Winston Muscat for his understanding and solidarity and also thanked his technical staff who have contributed so much to the success of the club in the Premier Division.

Pembroke lie at the bottom of the table with four points from eight matches.
