BOV Women’s League: Third win for Hibernians — Impressive win for Swieqi

BOV-Women-First-DivisionChampions Hibernians maintained their perfect run in the BOV Women’s First Division as they beat Kirkop United 4-1 at the Charles Abela Stadium on Wednesday. Kim Simler gave Kirkop the lead on the 37th but seven minutes later, Emma Xuereb levelled matters. Ylenia Carabott made it 2-1 on the 51st. Ten minutes from time, Jasmine Grech scored a third goal and Francesca Tonna a fourth four minutes from time.

On Tuesday, Mgarr United defeated Gozo 4-0 at the Mgarr Ground thanks to goals by Brenda Borg on the 28th, Rebecca Vella on the 47th, Amber Grech on the 75th and Claudette Xuereb on the 91st minute.

On the other hand, Birkirkara defeated Raiders (Luxol) 3-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium thanks to goals by Kim Parnis on the 20th, Anne Marie Said on the 57th and another goal by Kim Parnis on the hour.

BOV-Women-Second-DivisionIn the BOV Women’s Second Division, Swieqi United registered an impressive 11-1 win over Kirkop United Team B at the Zebbug Ground. Emma Moore (11 and 75), Becky Naudi (24 and 53), Krista Montfort (35 and 40), Yolande Attard (43 and 85) and Aleksandra Georgieva (81 and 89) all scored two goals each with Amy Galea Gingell scoring another goal on the 33rd. Yasmine Ciantar scored Kirkop’s only goal on the 65th

Tarxien Rainbows were leading 2-0 in the game against Hamrun Spartans at the Mgarr Ground but the game was abandoned at half-time. Francesca Cauchi had put Tarxien ahead on the 10th minute and Jessica Dimech doubled the score five minutes from the end of the first half.
