After suffering back to back defeats to Zebbug Rangers and Senglea Athletic, Sirens returned to winning ways as they defeated Pietà Hotspurs 1-0 in a match from the BOV First Division at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Miguel Ciantar scored the all-important goal twelve minutes in the second half. 

In another match, Melita and Gharghur shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Darren Sciberras put Gharghur ahead on the 7th minute but Alan Borg Olivier equalised on the 18th.

Senglea and Mqabba lead the way with 13 points, followed by Naxxar on 12, Rabat, Lija Vittoriosa and Sirens 10, Pietà and Qormi 9, Gharghur 8, Fgura 7, Melita 6, Zebbug 5 and Marsa 3.
