Birkirkara stay one point ahead of Hibernians as both sides registered wins in the BOV Women’s First Division.

On Tuesday, Hibernians defeated Gozo 3-0 at the Mgarr Ground thanks to goals by Dionne Tonna on the 35th, Martina Borg on the 61st and Rodianne Borg on the 85th. On the other hand, Birkirkara beat Mgarr United 2-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium courtesy of Alishia Sultana on the 55th and Stephania Farrugia on the 61st.

In another match, a goal by Liis Pello on the 45th minute gave Kirkop United a narrow win over Raiders (Luxol).

In the BOV Women’s Second Division, Maria Michaela Cassar gave Kirkop United Team B a narrow win over Tarxien Rainbows at the Zebbug Ground with a goal on the 36th minute.

In another match, Mosta defeated Hamrun Spartans 2-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium thanks to a brace by Raisa Calleja on the 19th and 82nd.
