Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Jorge Mesqueu Neto (Hamrun), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs), Miguel Attard (Pembroke) and Bong Won Che (St. Andrews) were all banned for one match after receiving a fourth yellow card while Kurt Shaw (Sliema) and Tomas Radzinevicius (Valletta) were suspended after their clubs failed to submit their medical certificate.

Jorginho and Shaw are unavailable for the game between Sliema and Hamrun, Kristensen the clash with Floriana, Radzinevicius the game against Gzira while Attard and Che are ruled out of the Pembroke vs St. Andrews derby.

In Division 1, Melvin Busuttil, Goran Adamovic and Gaetano Gesualdi (Mqabba), Yannick Yankam (Qormi) and Petar Mrvic (Vittoriosa) were suspended for one match.

Shaun Bugeja (Siggiewi) was banned for two matches in Division 2 while Dejan Cassar (Attard) and Kurt Tabone were handed a one-match ban. San Gwann official Raymond Colombo was banned for six matches.

Matthew Pace (Dingli) and Gilbert Camilleri (Mdina) were suspended for one match in Division 3.
