Nadur Youngsters move top

Nadur Youngsters moved temporarily on top the BOV Gozo Football League First Division as they defeated Ghajnsielem 2-1 at the Gozo Stadium.

Shaun Attard put the Youngsters ahead on the 5th minute. Chris Camilleri was sent off just before half-time but the Blacks still managed to equalise on the 67th minute through Ferdinando Apap. However Ronaldo da Silva restored the lead for Nadur on the 71st. Nadur had Michael Zerafa sent off on the 93rd.

In a another match, Victoria Hotspurs beat Kercem Ajax 3-2. Gustavo Franca Amadio put Kercem ahead on the 11th minute but the Hotspurs turned the score in their favour with a hat-trick by Henrique Maciel on the 17th, 25th (penalty) and 62nd. Owen Spiteri scored a second goal for Kercem on the 69th.

Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, Gharb Rangers defeated Zebbug Rovers 5-0 at the Sannat Ground on Saturday thanks to goals by Andrew Ofulue on the 22nd, 30th and 88th and Frank Attard on the 61st and 67th.
