Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Jurgen Pisani and Mario Fontanella (Floriana), Manolito Micallef (Hamrun), Miguel Attard (Pembroke) and Nenad Belacevic (St. Andrews) are therefore ruled out of the final matches in programme between Thursday and Saturday.

Pisani and Fontanella are ruled out for Floriana as the Greens take on Birkirkara, Mano Micallef will skip the clash with Valletta, Miguel Attard is ruled out of the decisive clash with Pembroke while Belacevic will miss the game against Gzira.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Michael Borg (Mqabba), Ryan Grech (Naxxar), Ishaya Irimiya Jalo (Pietà) and Tensior Guzman (Qormi) were suspended for one match.

Lija Athletic kit manager Larkin Micallef was banned for two matches while Melita assistant coach Alberto Piras, Senglea Athletic official Richard Curmi and Naxxar Lions official Simon Camilleri were handed a one-match ban.
