Martin Caruana scored the students’ consolation goal.

Last year’s champions Valletta edged Swieqi 4-3 in a highly interesting encounter. Both teams, who are assured of a play-off spot, wanted to end their second round commitments on a positive note. Meanwhile in the Gatorade First Division, Sliema Wanderers won the top of the table clash as they saw off Msida St Joseph 8-6. Msida who had a never-say-die attitude, scored their goals through a double from Chris Cardona while Chris Cutajar, Mohammed Elamari, Liam Cachia and George Frendo.
