Balzan signed Brazilian winger Alex da Paixao Alves from Tarxien Rainbows. da Paixao Alves, known as Lecao, played for Bahia de Feira, Ferroviario, Oeste, Colo Colo and Parnahyba in Brazil before moving to Malta to join Tarxien Rainbows in summer 2015. Lecao is Balzan's second major signing after the club secured the services of Malta
