Birkirkara secured the services of twenty-two year old midfielder Llywelyn Cremona from Valletta. Cremona signed a three-year deal.

A product of Valletta, Cremona made his Premier League debut in season 2011/12. He played for the Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 national teams and made his senior national team debut in November 2015 in a friendly match against Jordan.

Cremona is the second player to join Birkirkara from Valletta. The Stripes have also signed Brandon Muscat and Jake Grech.
