Mosta register first win

Mosta collected their first three points as they defeated newly-promoted Lija Athletic 3-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Both teams had two changes from their last match as new signings Ivan Maric and Leonardo Henrique Ferreira replaced Kurt Magro and Semen Datsenko for Mosta while Predrag Babic and debutante Ousmane Sidibe replaced Erjon Beu and the suspended Patrick Borg.

Dexter Xuereb put Mosta ahead on the 32nd minute and just before half-time, Zachary Brincat doubled the score. Eight minutes in the second half, Leonardo Henrique Ferreira added another with Djamel Leeflang scoring a consolation goal for Lija on the 90th.
