Stoppage-time goal sinks Stripes in UEFA Women’s Champions League

A goal three minutes in added time by Natalija Golob stopped Birkirkara from earning their first positive result in Group 6 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League as they lost 0-1 to hosts Olimpija Ljubljana at the Stadion Stožice in Ljubljana on Monday.

Although the hosts created the lion’s share of scoring opportunities, Birkirkara defended well, going close to earning their first ever positive result in Europe.
