A win and a draw in two friendly matches for Under-19 side in Liechtenstein

The Malta Under-19 side led by Wayne Attard defeated Liechtenstein in a friendly match on Friday and then shared the spoils in another friendly match on Sunday.

In the first game at Freizeitanlage Widau – Ruggell, a penalty by Neil Frendo on the 53rd minute gave Malta a narrow win. Malta goalkeeper Lyden Moore saved a penalty on the 42nd minute.

The second game was played in Eschen as the constant rainfall rendered the pitch at Ruggell unfit to host this match.

The Maltese held the initiative throughout the game but failed to score.
