Hibernians FC have filed a protest against the result of the BOV Premier League match against Naxxar Lions on Friday.

The Paolites had a goal disallowed by referee Sandro Spiteri on the 45th minute due to the presence of another ball on the field of play.

Hibernians argue that according to FIFA rules, the referee had to halt play immediately and not fifteen seconds later, after a goal was scored, stating that this was a technical error.
