Hibernians aim at returning to winning ways

Hibernians will be aiming at returning to winning ways on Friday as they take on Senglea Athletic in one of the three matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and the Centenary Stadium.

Naxxar Lions take on Tarxien Rainbows while Valletta meet Lija Athletic in the other two matches.

Naxxar Lions vs Tarxien Rainbows, kick-off 19:00 at Centenary Stadium
After beating Sliema Wanderers 2-1 in their last outing, Tarxien Rainbows target a second win as they take on Naxxar Lions who are still chasing their first win although they claimed three points from the last four matches in three draws. In their last outing, Naxxar held Hibernians in a 1-1 draw.

One point separates the two teams with Tarxien lying third from bottom on four points and Naxxar lying one point behind.

Senglea Athletic vs Hibernians, kick-off 18:00 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Following a draw with Naxxar, Hibernians hope to return to winning ways as they take on Senglea. Hibs registered just one win in the last four matches, obtaining another two points in draws. Senglea, on the other hand, are coming from a narrow defeat to St. Andrews following a draw with Tarxien.

The Paolites are currently fourth on 11 points and Senglea joint-seventh on eight points.

Senglea could not count on the suspended Augusto Rene Caseres and Antonio Terracciano.

Valletta vs Lija Athletic, kick-off 20:15 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Valletta will join Gzira on top the BOV Premier League table should they beat Lija Athletic in the other match. The Citizens won two of the last three matches and are coming from a comfortable 3-0 win over Birkirkara. Lija, on the other hand, lie at the bottom of the table with just one point but were unlucky not to bag any points in their last game after losing the derby with Balzan by the odd goal in seven.
