Mosta return to winning ways

Mosta returned to winning ways as a penalty mid-way through the second half enabled them to beat St. Andrews 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

A win which puts the Blues in a mid-table position on the 9-point mark, leaving the Saints third from bottom on six points.

Mosta managed to take the lead on the 68th when they were awarded a penalty after Miguel D’Alessandro brought Leonardo Henrique Ferreira down inside the area and from the penalty spot, the same player converted.

Six minutes from time, Mosta had an excellent opportunity to double the score when they were awarded another penalty after Tristan Grant floored Leozinho inside the area but this time the Brazilian striker hit high from the penalty spot.
