Ta’ Xbiex collected their first points in the BOV Third Division as they defeated Marsaskala 5-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium in one of the two matches in programme on Sunday.

Donovan Micallef put them ahead on the 33rd, Matthew Fenech doubled the score on the 46th and Glenn Tanti made it 4-0 on the 54th before Matthew Fenech added another two goals on the 68th and 86th.

In another match, Mdina Knights defeated Zurrieq 2-0 courtesy of Daniel Cluett on the 13th and Deyan Farrugia deep into stoppage time.

Sta. Venera lead the way with 12 points, followed by Kirkop on 10, Mellieha 9, Xghajra and Zurrieq 7, Mdina and Msida 6, Dingli 4, Ta’ Xbiex and Mtarfa 3, Ghaxaq and Marsaskala 1.
