Mosta came back from two goals down to hold Floriana in a dramatic 2-2 draw at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

The Greens seemed heading towards victory but two goals in the dying minutes enabled the Blues to earn a precious point.

Floriana took the lead on the 22nd minute thanks to a Maurizio Vella freekick from the right which gave goalkeeper Andreas Vella no chance.

The Greens were reduced to ten men on the hour after Arthur Henrique was sent off by referee Glen Tonna after David Ifeanyi Nworah ended on the ground when challenged by the Brazilian defender just outside the area.

However on the 74th minute, Floriana doubled the score thanks to a penalty by Steve Pisani after Maurizio Vella was brought down inside the area.

Mosta pulled one back on the 83rd minute when off a freekick by Thomas Veronese from the left, Ivan Maric headed the ball home past the Floriana goalkeeper.

One minute from time, Ivan Maric received a second yellow card for Mosta and was therefore sent off.

However deep into stoppage time, Mosta notched the equaliser thanks to captain Tyrone Farrugia whose header, off a cross by Leozinho, beat Akpan.
