Fgura United missed the chance to join Swieqi United on top the BOV Second Division after being held in a 2-2 draw by Attard at the Luxol Stadium on Sunday.

Abeeb Abiodun Williams put Fgura ahead on the 2nd minute but a Blendi Alla penalty on the 15th restored equilibrium. Attard forged ahead twelve minutes in the second half thanks to Josef Cutajar but an own goal nine minutes from time levelled matters for Fgura.

On the other hand, a goal by Beppe Antignolo on the 71st minute gave Kalkara a narrow win over St. George’s.

Swieqi lead the way with 14 points followed by Kalkara on 13, Fgura 12, Siggiewi and Birzebbuga 11, Santa Lucia 10, Gudja 9, Marsaxlokk and Mgarr 8, Attard 6, St. George’s and Luqa 4 and Gharghur 2. St. George’s had two points deducted.
