Floriana beat Senglea to extend unbeaten run

Floriana extended their unbeaten record in the BOV Premier League to ten matches as they defeated Senglea Athletic 3-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday. A win which puts the Greens temporarily in second place along with Gzira United who however have a game in hand.

Senglea, on the other hand, suffer the fourth defeat in five matches to stay fifth from bottom on nine points.

The Greens took the lead four minutes from the end of the first half thanks to Arthur Henrique, who received an assist by Mario Fontanella, controlled the ball before beating Cetrangolo with a rising shot.

Mario Fontanella doubled the score on the 62nd minute when off a cross by Juninho Cabral, the Italian striker slotted the ball past the Senglea goalkeeper.

Juninho Cabral sealed the issue with a third goal eleven minutes from time, heading the bill home off a Steve Pisani cross.
