Fourth win in a row for Sliema

Sliema Wanderers registered a fourth consecutive win to make sure of staying in fourth place as they defeated St. Andrews 2-0 at the National Stadium on Sunday.

For the Saints, this was yet another disappointing result as they suffered a fourth consecutive defeat which leaves them joint-second from bottom.

Following a goalless first half, the Wanderers managed to break the deadlock on the 58th minute when off an assist by Michele Sansone, Jefferson Assis hit low past goalkeeper Matthew Calleja Cremona.

Sliema doubled the score on the 76th minute when Nikola Gavric headed the ball home off a Ricardo Calixto Correa Duarte corner.
