Xghajra Tornados registed a fifth consecutive win in the BOV Third Division as they defeated Ta’ Xbiex 4-0 in one of the two matches at the Charles Abela Stadium on Sunday.

Gabriel Bonavia put Xghajra ahead on the 7th minute and then doubled the score on the 29th. Royter Degiorgio made it 3-0 four minutes in the second half before adding another on the 67th.

In another match, Msida St. Joseph came from behind to beat Zurrieq 2-1. Gilbert Camilleri converted a penalty on the 65th but Dylan Attard equalised four minutes from time and one minute in added time, Christian Farrugia notched the winner.

Sta. Venera and Mellieha lead the way with 18 points, followed by Xghajra on 16, Kirkop 13, Mdina and Msida 12, Ghaxaq, Zurrieq and Dingli 7, Mtarfa 6, Marsaskala 4 and Ta’ Xbiex 3.
